Rationalisation
Well she had no other choice
But to leave me here that day
Although it wasn’t nice
The weather kept her at bay
I’m sure she would have come
Had the rain been further away
And she would have come
Had the sun shone its rays
It wasn’t so bad really
I stayed and played a game
Sure it was me alone
But I liked it all the same
And I know from now to check
The weather every day
She can’t really have come
With all the rain that day!
